Cannot receive verification code?

I. Scenarios

1. The verification code is not received on your phone or in your mailbox when you are logging in to WeCom.

2. The verification email is not received when you are binding a company domain name.

3. The signature setup email is not received when you are setting an email signature for a business card.

4. The verification code is not received on the custom page of the third-party apps or custom apps.

5. The verification code is not received on your phone when you are registering a WeCom account.

II. Reasons for not receiving verification code on phone

1. If there is a delay in receiving the SMS message, you can wait for 3 to 4 minutes and then try again to get the verification code.

2. You can open the security software on your phone and temporarily disable the blocking function, and then try again to get the verification code.
For details about how to disable it, please refer to:
(1) Mobile phone comes with built-in blocking software:
① Android: Different brand models have different settings, the following procedure is for reference only.
a. Huawei: Go to the SMS inbox -> the notification section at the top -> you can see a large number of SMS in the notification section -> if you cannot see the blocked SMS, you can click “…” button in the bottom right corner to bring up the pull-up menu -> click “Harassment Blocking” to view the blocked SMS;
B. Xiaomi: Go to the SMS box -> find and click “Block SMS” to see the blocked SMS.
② Apple (iOS):
a. Click “Settings” ->”Messages” in the mobile phone system, and check whether “Filter Unknown Senders” is enabled in “Message Filtering”. You can disable this button and resend, or view blocked messages in “Junk Messages”;
B. Enter the SMS box, click the “<Filter Criteria” button in the upper left corner, and view the blocked SMS in “Unknown Sender”.
(2) Third-party software blocking:
For 360 Mobile Guard, Kingsoft Security Guard​, etc., go to the third-party software to set and view.

3. The inbox is full or the phone memory is not enough. Restart your phone after cleaning up.

4. Poor signal in your location or your phone was turned off when the verification message was sent.

5. For a dual-SIM device, the card may not be placed in the right slot. (Switch the card between two slots and try again).

6. The phone has not been powered off for a long time. Shut it down and restart it, and try again.

7. The phone is in arrears.

8. If you do not receive a verification code on your phone when you get the code on the custom page of the third-party apps or custom apps, the verification code may not be sent due to app errors. Contact your company admin or third-party app admin to check the app.

9. You may enter an area code before your overseas mobile number. (Make sure you select the correct area code.)

10. Incorrect mobile number.

11. The mobile phone number has been changed.
Solutions:
(1) For unactivated members, they can contact the administrator to modify the mobile phone number in Admin Console -> Contacts. Activated members need to log in with WeChat authorization and modify the mobile phone number by themselves. If they are activated but have not associated to WeChat, mobile phone number modification is not supported currently.
(2) If you are prompted to enter a phone number verification code after logging in via WeChat authorization, but the associated mobile phone number is no longer in use.
It is necessary to confirm whether you have selected the correct pending enterprise under​”To be joined enterprise/team”. If so, It is suggested to contact the corresponding enterprise administrator and invite you to join the enterprise via the following path: [Admin Console -> Security and Management -> Management Tools -> Member Joining -> Applink/QR Code for Joining].

12. If you confirm that there is no problem above, you may put the phone card into another phone/change another phone card and try again.
① If you can receive the verification code with the original card on another phone: Check your original phone.
② If you can receive the verification code with another card on the same phone: Check your original card.

III. Reasons for not receiving verification code in mailbox

1. The verification code email is misidentified as spam.

2. The email address of “WeCom Team” is added to the blacklist.
Solution: Remove the email address of “WeCom Team” (work_weixin@tencent.com) from the blacklist and add it to the whitelist.

3. The email address of “WeCom Team” is blocked by a created mail server.
Solution: Contact the admin to add the email address of “WeCom Team” (work_weixin@tencent.com) to the whitelist.

4. Your mailbox cannot receive emails from external domains.
Solution: Check if your mailbox can receive emails from external domains. If not, contact your email admin for support.

5. If the account is linked with both an email and a mobile number, email verification is required for joining the company by logging in to WeCom.
Solution: You can ask the admin to leave the “email” filed empty in “Admin Console” -> “Contacts”, and then try again.
