You can add assets or save assets that are sent to the asset library. You can use the assets in the asset library when you send app messages.
Texts, articles, images, voice messages, videos, and files can be added to the asset library.
You can go to “Admin Console” -> “Security and Management” -> “Management Tool” -> “Asset Library” in the Admin Console to add texts, articles, images, voice messages, videos, and files to the asset library.
1. The asset library has the following limits:
(1) For text assets, up to 1000 assets can be stored and each asset can contain up to 600 characters.
(2) For image assets, up to 1000 assets can be stored and each asset can be up to 5 MB. GIF, JPEG, JPG, PNG, and BMP images are supported.
(3) Voice: Up to 1,000 voice materials; supports formats including mp3, wma, wav, amr; each voice file has a maximum size of 25MB, and the voice duration shall not exceed 30 minutes;
(4) For file assets, up to 1000 assets can be stored and each asset can be up to 20 MB. CAB, LZH, LZMA, EXE, SCR, HTML, URL, BIN, VBS, ASP, JSP, PHP, ASPX, MHT, EML, JAR, BAT, COM, and CMD files are not supported. All other file formats are supported.
(5) For video assets, up to 1000 assets can be stored and each asset can be up 20 MB. RMVB, WMV, AVI, MPG, MPEG, MP4, and RM videos are supported.
(6) For article assets, up to 5000 assets can be stored. The body content of an article has no limit.
In an article asset, images can be up to 5 MB, documents can be up to 5 MB, and audio files can be up to 20 MB.
Up to 20 attachments can be added and each attachment can be up to 50 MB.
2. Assets in the asset library are stored permanently if you do not delete them.
Note: You can add watermarks if you select “Unable to share and watermark enabled” when you broadcast messages. Watermarks can be set for TXT, PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, XLS, XLSX, XML, JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, and MP4 files.
3. The material library supports word segmentation search. For example: Entering notification+space+I (Notification I) will filter out notifications containing keywords or messages containing I.
After an asset is created, only the creator and super admin can use, edit, and delete the asset.
By default, an asset created by a sub-admin cannot be used by other sub-admins in the same admin group. Other sub-admins can use or edit the asset only after the sub-admins are added to the “allowed users” of the asset by the creator or super admin.
Segmentation is supported for search in the asset library. For example, if you input “notification + space + |” (notification |), assets that contain the keyword “notification” or the symbol “|” will be filtered.
It is recommended to simply search using text, which will return assets that contain the relevant keywords.
If the video duration is longer than 1 second, the cover will display the first frame of the first second. If the video is less than 1 second long, the cover will display the first frame at 0 seconds.
For Announcement, only single-article assets can be selected, while multi-article or external link article assets cannot. So even if there are multi-article or externally linked article assets in the asset library, they are not available for selection when you send a message via “Announcement”.
