Super admins can set up offsite punch rules for members from both the admin console and the WeCom app.
Sub-admins with management permissions on Attendance (Punch) can set offsite punch rules only from the admin console. Only one offsite attendance policy is supported.
“Allowed users”, “Summary reminder time”, “Taking photo is required for punch”, “Face recognition is required for punch”, “Real-Person Verification”, and “You cannot upload local images for Remarks. Please use camera.” can be set for offsite punch.
From the admin console: “App Management” -> “Attendance (Punch)” -> “Offsite punch” ->”Set Rules”
From mobile: “Workspace” -> “Attendance (Punch)” -> “Manage” -> “Offsite Punch Rules”
Members not in the scope of “Allowed users” cannot see an entry point to offsite punch. If a member in the scope of “Allowed users” does not need to punch off site, the admin can remove the member from “Allowed users”.
Offsite punch report recipients need to be added by members, rather than by admins.
From mobile: “Workspace” -> “Attendance (Punch) -> the three dots in the upper right corner -> “Settings” -> “Offsite punch report recipient”.There is no upper limit on the number of people who can go out to report.
1. Admins can enable “Approval is required for offsite punch” by going to “App Management” -> “Attendance (Punch)” -> “Offsite punch” -> “Set Rules” and selecting “Approval is required for offsite punch” or [Mobile - Workspace - Attendance - Management - Offsite Attendance Policy - Approval Required for Offsite Attendance] . After this option is enabled, “offsite” and “business trip” approval requests must be submitted for offsite punch.
2. Once an application (including cross-month application forms) is submitted, you can make offsite working attendance. You may also clock in/out before the application is approved. After clock-in/out, the attendance page will prompt “Offsite Working Attendance - Pending Activation”. Once the application is approved, the attendance page will prompt “Offsite Working Attendance Successful”.
3. Revoking or deleting the offsite working attendance application form will invalidate the clock points synchronized to the clock-in.
4. Clocking in is only allowed during the time period from the start time to the end time (business trip duration) specified in the application form.
Note: For application forms submitted by members on working days, the system will split them based on the member’s clock-in and clock-out times as per their attendance policy. For example, if the working hours on that day are from 09:00 to 18:30, an afternoon application form will be split into 14:00-18:30. Therefore, offsite working clock-in/out outside this time frame is not permitted.
5. Submitting applications for “Offsite Working” or “Business Trip” related to past dates will not sync the offsite working attendance to the clock-in/out logs. An application form must be submitted first before making offsite working attendance.
6. Offsite working attendance can only be synced to the same day’s working hours. Offsite working attendance uses calendar days (00:00-24:00) as the daily dividing point, and does not support cross-day synchronization.
7. Enabling offsite working attendance requires approval. Multiple days of offsite requests can be submitted in a single application form.
8. If the submitted application has been approved but the attendance page still displays [Offsite Working Attendance Requires Submitting Application], you can exit the attendance page and re-enter it to try again.
Offsite attendance and clock-in/out are counted separately, so they can be set simultaneously. Members can select Clock-in/out / Offsite attendance on mobile by navigating to [Workspace - Attendance].
