The following documents/materials are required for WeCom verification:
1) Entity document: Upload the Certificate of Incorporation or Business Registration Certificate,Black-and-white copies must be stamped with company seal; otherwise color originals must be provided;
2) Application letter: Complete the letter of application for verification;
3) Short name related materials: Provide supporting documents for the company’s brand name, trademark, product name, app name, or website name, based on which the short name will be created.
Detailed requirements will be elaborated below.
Upload Certificate of Incorporation or Business Registration Certificate, and fill in full name, business registration number, and registered address of your company.
Note:
(1)The business registration number cannot be modified upon successful verification.
(2)If the registration number includes both numbers and letters, the letters must also be filled in.
(3) A Hong Kong “Certificate of Registration of a Society” is accepted as the entity’s primary document
(4) For all countries, submitting the original business license is sufficient, no translation or notarization is required. For example, a Japanese-language document does not need to be translated into English before uploading. Simply upload the original document in Japanese as the entity’s primary certificate, no translation is needed.
(5) Color electronic versions of the entity’s primary documents are accepted for WeCom verification.
(6) There is no fixed language requirement for the company registration address, it can be filled in according to the language of the supporting document.

Submit and upload the completed verification request letter. It must display a physical official seal (digital seals not accepted), a handwritten signature, and the date. The official request letter template is available for download within the verification portal.
Notes:
1. For overseas companies without an official seal, the signature of the legal representative can be used in place of the seal.
2. In the official letter, the “signature of the applicant’s authorized representative (verification contact)” must be that of the legal representative or the operator submitting the verification application. It may also be from a company executive, but a proof of employment for the executive must be provided (for example, an official document that verifies the executive’s position, such as information available on the company’s official website).
3. Currently, only the Chinese version of the WeCom certification application letter is available. English versions are not provided, and self-translated English version for filling out and submitting is not accepted.
4. The full name of the entity in the letter must match the name on the identification documents.
5. If the full name of the entity is in both Chinese and English, and the seal is only in English, that seal can be used.

Short name is the short form or abbreviation of a company name, which is displayed on members’ business cards, the Company Information page, and more (e.g. Wang Qingqing@TONGWII).
1) Basic naming rules:
●The short name must be uniquely identifiable and objective in the company’s industry, and must not involve infringement, exaggeration, advertising, and misleading information. It must not infringe upon the exclusive rights of any registered trademark; otherwise, it will be rejected, and you may be held liable for such infringement;
●The short name shall not constitute an infringement, violate applicable laws or WeCom regulations, lead to ambiguity, or match an existing short name in WeCom;
●The short name shall not solely contain a region name (such as Beijing, Shanghai, or Shenzhen). Naming with marketing-related terms such as red packet, money making, loan, and borrowing is not allowed. Format requirements:
●Chinese characters, lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, Chinese and English parentheses, and some special characters are supported;
It should be 4-30 characters in length (1 Chinese character counts as 2 characters).
2) Quantity limit: A maximum of 5 short names are supported. To add names, click the button in the “Confirm Name” step. The first short name is used by default.
3) Supported naming methods:
1) Based on the brand name or full name of the organization;
2) Based on trademark
3) Based on brand/product/App/website name

The verification contact (i.e., the admin responsible for the verification process) is required to provide personal contact information such as a mobile phone number or email address. This is to facilitate communication with the verification agency regarding the verification process, potential updates to required information, and notification of the verification results. Therefore, it is important to keep the provided phone number accessible and available during working hours for seamless communication.
Additionally, the verification contact must complete personal identity verification before submitting the company verification. If the personal identity verification has been completed, the label “Identity Verified “ will be displayed next to the contact person’s name.
