I.What is a Company Name?

By default, a new WeCom company has a company short name. After the company verification is completed, the company will have a full name and a short name.

II.What is the company’s full name?

The company’s full name is the name of the WeCom entity.
1. The full name is available only after the company verification is completed.
2. The company’s full name must be the same as the entity name on your registration certificates, such as the business license and legal person certificate of public institution.
3. The full name is displayed on pages such as the company information page.

III.What is the company’s short name?

The company’s short name is the short form or abbreviation of the company name.
1. The company name entered during WeCom registration is used as the initial short name.
2. The short name of a verified company must be relevant to the company’s identity such as the brand name or trademark.

3. You can apply for up to 5 short names during verification. After your company is verified, other companies cannot use the same short names.

1. Registering/creating a company prompts “Company name cannot contain invalid characters”. What are the naming rules for company names?
(1) A company name must consist of 3-30 Chinese characters, letters, numbers, and valid characters.
(2) When you register a WeCom account on the web, spaces are allowed if the company name contains only English, but not allowed if it is in Chinese.
When you register a WeCom account on mobile, the Chinese company name can contain spaces.
(3) When you register/create a WeCom account on mobile, the company name cannot contain “,”.
(4) Rare characters are not supported, but this situation will be optimized in the future.
