An Exmail account is created simultaneously when a WeCom account is registered. If you already have a WeCom account, you can use the Exmail account in WeCom Admin Console -> “Collaboration”. After registering an Exmail account, you can use the trial domain name for free (you can also add your own domain name) with the Basic Edition. Advanced features are available only after you make the payment.

Exmail registration process:

Step 1: Register an email account

Go to the WeCom website, click “Register Now” to register a WeCom account.

Step 2: Registration methods

Method 1. Enter the company information, such as company name, industry type, and company size, and admin information, such as admin name, mobile number, SMS verification code, and WeChat account (scan the QR code via a WeChat account bound with the admin’s bank card). Agree to and abide by Tencent WeCom Service Agreement、Privacy Policy 、Authorization Agreement on Use of Red Packets .

Method 2: If you already have an WeCom account, you can select “Migrate or sync Existing Email” in WeCom Admin Console ->”Collaboration”->”Mails” to bind your domain name. There is no need to migrate old email data; just click “Migrate Now”.
If you do not have an exclusive domain name, you can select “New Email Activation Service” to register and purchase a domain name or directly use the second-level domain name provided by the system to use Exmail.

Step 3: Add a domain name

I. A trial domain name .wecom.work is provided for use.
Notes:
1.The trial domain name can be used permanently if no company domain name is added, and it will be replaced automatically if a company domain name is added and the MX takes effect.

2.If you choose to activate advanced features, you must pay before you can use the trial domain name. If you fail to pay within 7 days, you can also use the trial domain name with the Basic Edition.

II. Add a company domain name
1.You can select “Already have a website” to link the domain name your company has registered, or you can select “No website” to register and purchase a new domain name.

2.To add your own domain name, you need to go to the domain name service provider and add the MX record resolution of Tencent Exmail.

3.If you select “No website”, you will enter the domain name registration and purchase page. Submit relevant material for approval and pay for the domain name, and then you can create an email account and send/receive emails using this domain name.

4.Once the domain name is added and takes effect, you can add members or invite members to the company.
