WeCom supports associating with multiple mainstream brands of attendance devices (See the list of supported models). If your company already owns a supported device, it can be added by scanning the device QR code, entering the device SN code, or via Bluetooth pairing.
One attendance policy can be associated with multiple attendance machines (no upper limit on quantity), and one attendance machine can be associated with multiple attendance policies.
One attendance machine can only be associated with one company at a time; one company can associate multiple attendance machines.
Before associating, confirm that the operator has the permission to add devices. For details, refer to How to Assign Attendance Machine Management Permissions. .
Path 1 - Associate via Scanning on Home Page: WeCom for Mobile App -> Message List Home Page -> Click + in the upper right corner -> Scan -> Scan the device QR code.
(The device QR code is usually displayed on the device screen or in the user manual. Its location varies by brand/model. If you cannot find it, contact the device vendor or manufacturer.)
Path 2 - Associate in the Attendance App: WeCom for Mobile App -> Workspace -> Attendance App -> Attendance Machine -> Add attendance machine, where you can choose Scan the device QR code to add, Enter SN code to add, or Match through Bluetooth to add.
Path 3 - Device Management: WeCom for Mobile App -> Workspace -> Manage Company -> Device Management -> Add Device, where you can choose the available options: Scan QR Code, enter the SN Code, or Find device via Bluetooth.
(Note: This path is restricted to Super Administrators or Hierarchy Administrators who have been configured with device addition permissions.)
Once specific device information is identified via QR code, SN code, or Bluetooth, you will enter the device associating page. Here, you can configure the Available Scope of the attendance machine and its Remark Name as needed.
After successful addition, you must configure a corresponding attendance policy for the device to function properly. Please ensure the attendance machine has been configured to the relevant attendance policy.
After associating the attendance machine, when setting its usage scope, you can check/enable the option: “Notify members within the available scope.”
