(1) Please visit the official website of WeCom and download the latest version.
(2) If you have updated WeCom to the latest version, check if there is a prompt for “admin authorization” when opening WeDrive/Docs.
If such a prompt appears, it is possible that installing WeCom on the system drive prevents non-admin users from updating WeDrive. In this case, the computer system administrator needs to install WeCom on a non-system drive (usually not the C drive). After a successful installation, WeDrive will be automatically updated when non-admin users open it.
For members who have WeDrive file permissions (Allow Download/View Only), if they are not in the space where the files are located, they will need to receive the file link or have someone forward the files to them. They cannot view these files in their own space.
For members who have document permissions (View Only/Allow Edit), if they are not in the space where the files are located, they will need to receive the file link or have someone forward the files to them. They cannot view these files in their own space.
If a member has “View Only” permission and the admin has enabled the option “Restrict members with the View Only permission from commenting”, comment is not allowed. However, if this option is not enabled, members with the “View Only” permission can still add comments. Another option is to contact the document creator and request them to change the permission to “Allow Edit”, which will allow commenting.
A maximum of 100 sheets can be inserted. You can delete some before inserting.
If the pasted image is too large or in a specific format, it may be compressed during the upload process. If you want to keep the original image without compression, it is recommended to upload the image as an attachment. You can use the insert function in the document or sheet to insert the image as an attachment.
This difference in file size may occur due to additional field information added to ensure compatibility with WPS and Office formats. Currently, it is not guaranteed that the exported file size will be the same as the original file. However, this difference does not affect the actual usage or functionality of the file.
When you import a file with annotations into a sheet, the annotations will be converted into comments.
Each sheet supports up to 1 million cells, 200,000 rows, and 2,000 columns. If you encounter this error message, it is likely that the document you are trying to import exceeds these limits. You can try the following:
(1) Create a new Excel file and selectively copy the content from the existing document to the new file. Then, import the newly created file to see if it is successful. (Make sure to only select and copy the content with data, rather than selecting the entire sheet.)
(2) Try splitting the document into multiple files before importing.
The saving frequency of revision records in a document is not based on specific time intervals. Instead, a new historical record is generated when an individual makes modifications to 50 cells or when a participating member makes an edit. Reverting to a previous version will generate a distinct revision version of the document.
It is currently not available and will be provided in future updates for Mac users.
Your can use the “Transfer Former Members’ Docs” feature to transfer this report document, or create a new report document.
Note: If your company has purchased advanced document features for the entire company, and this prompt still appears, it may be because the report was created before the advanced document features were enabled for the former member.
Operation path: “Admin Console” -> “Collaboration” -> “Docs” -> “Document Management Tools” -> “ Transfer Former Members’ Docs” -> “View”
