What is “Number of External Contacts"?

The “Number of External Contacts” refers to the capacity limit for external contacts in WeCom. External contacts are one of the core tools for private domain operations in WeCom. To provide continuous iterative management tools and assist in standardizing external business operations and improving service quality, WeCom offers a free quota of 2,000 external contacts per company for customer and contact management. If the limit is exceeded, companies can purchase additionally based on their needs to continue using the service.

To view detailed information about the “Number of External Contacts” and make a purchase, go to “Workspace” -> “Customer Management and Operation” -> “Customer Group”/“Contact Customers” -> “Number of External Contacts” -> “Purchase” in the WeCom app.

Notes:
1. If you want to add more than 100 contacts, you will need to complete company verification first.
2. The system automatically deduplicates contacts, so adding the same customer multiple times will not result in duplicate counts.
3. Members must be granted the permission to add external contacts before using this feature.
