I. Introduction to WeCom Verification
1) WeCom verification is supported for companies, governments, and organizations from China’s Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions, as well as from overseas countries and regions (such as the United States, Japan, South Korea, etc.).
2) WeCom verification provides a secure and rigorous verification process to protect the legitimate rights and interests of companies and users.
3) WeCom verification is conducted by WeCom and a third-party auditing agency, and a service fee is charged for the verification.
4) Verification is valid for 1 year and is required every year.
5) Verified companies can use more features, such as increasing the maximum number of users and displaying a “Verified” icon to external members. Some features are currently not available for overseas companies.
6) Only verification of small-sized companies is supported.
7) Entity change is not supported for overseas verification.
8) Overseas sole proprietorships are supported for WeCom verification, for example, an Australian sole proprietorship can be verified on WeCom.
9) A single entity can verify up to 5 WeCom accounts.

Unavailability of some features for overseas companies:
Some features are unavailable for overseas companies due to compliance requirements,These features include Receive Money from External, Company Pay, Message Archiving, Rewards, red packets, red packet covers, Commuting Assistant, Health Report, Company-paid Call, Weekly Summary, and third-party app marketplace.
Restrictions for unverified overseas companies:
Unverified overseas companies cannot use the Live Video and Meeting features.
Verified overseas companies, verified Hong Kong and Macau companies, and verified domestic companies with overseas employees can use the Live Video and Meeting features.
II. Verification Service Fees
WeCom verification is conducted by WeCom and a third-party auditing agency to verify the authenticity of the documents submitted by companies. Therefore, you will be charged an audit service fee when applying for verification.
1) WeCom verification fee: 700 CNY (approx.US$ 99).
2) Payment method:WeChat Pay, e-bank, transfer, remittance，or pay with Balance.
Note: If the enterprise entity is registeredoversea, online banking payments and corporate transfers/remittances cannot be processed throughinternational banks. It is suggested to switch to the following payment methods: WeChat Pay (preferred option), bank transfers via China’s Mainland-based banks, and China’s Mainland-registered enterprise payment on behalf of others.
III. Validity Period of Verification
WeCom verification is valid for 1 year. Re-verification is required upon expiration. The specific rules are as follows:
1) For an initial verification, the verified account name, verification icon, and verification information are retained for one year (365 days) starting from the date of successful verification.
2) For a verification renewal, the verified account name, verification icon, and verification information will be retained for one year (365 days, starting from the date of successful annual verification), and the remaining validity period from the previous verification will be added up (up to 3 months).
IV. Annual Verification
1) Purpose of annual verification: To protect the rights and interests of companies and users, secure and thorough authenticity verification is required for companies and organizations in WeCom. Advanced features such as merchant features of WeChat Pay require WeCom verification, and the certificates, licenses, and information of the operator may change within one year. To ensure that the account with advanced WeCom features belongs to a legal and valid company or organization, WeCom verification is required every year.
2) Annual verification fee: The fee for an annual verification is the same as that for the initial verification, which is based on the entity type and company size.
3) Annual verification reminder: The validity period of a verification is displayed in WeCom and a notification will be sent 3 months before the verification expires.
4) Verification expiration: If a verification is not renewed after it expires, the company will no longer be able to enjoy the benefits for a verified company. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: an “Unverified” icon is displayed; the short name is no longer unique; the number of users is reduced to 100; and the number of external contacts is limited to 100. You can still communicate with and provide services for existing customers, but cannot add or invite new customers.
