I.Overview

Partner space groups are WeCom chat groups for communication between companies. You can invite distributors, suppliers, and other business partners to a partner space group, and use Read Receipt Message, Chat Toolbar, and other features to improve communication, collaboration, and business processing efficiency.

II.How to create

1. Create a partner space group
In “Partner Space Group”, you can create a partner space group and invite partner space contacts to this group.

2. Migrate a WeChat group
You can also migrate a WeChat group in “Partner Space Group” and upgrade it to a partner space group with one tap after migration.

3. Invite contacts to a group
Tap “+” in the upper-right corner of the “Messages” page and “New Chat”, and then select contacts in the partner space Contacts to create a group and chat with them.

III.Capabilities

• Display company identity of group members for secure communication;
• Check the read status of sent messages for information synchronization;
• Use the chat toolbar to quickly view and use business apps;(Partner space chat toolbar is not supported on Mac.)
• Initiate meetings, live videos, and events for efficient collaboration;
• Manage large groups with up to 2,000 members using “Mute” and “Restrict Private Chats” features;
• New group members are added to a partner space automatically as contacts.

IV.FAQs

1. Can WeChat users join a partner space group?
No. After scanning the QR code for a partner space group, WeChat users must select their WeCom identity to join the group chat.

2. Which users can join a partner space?
If the group owner enables “New group members are automatically added to the partner space”, all WeCom users can join the group. If the group owner disables this option, only the inviter’s colleagues and partner space contacts can join the group chat.

3. What is the maximum number of members in a partner space group?
It depends on the maximum number of members in an internal group created by the group owner, which cannot exceed 2,000.

Notes: For unverified companies, the member limit for internal groups such as all-member groups, department groups, and interconnected groups is 500.
For existing internal groups, if the member count has exceeded this limit, no new members can be invited to the group; if the member count is under 500, new members can continue to be added until the limit is reached.
If an admin attempts to create a group with a member limit exceeding 500, but the company is unverified, that member limit setting will not be applied.
