Members can manage their own welcome messages and apply them in bulk to resident groups. After the group owner configures a welcome message in a resident group, new residents will receive it when joining the group.

I. Configure a group welcome message

1.Welcome messages can be created by company admins or business owners, or members themselves. It can be set in “Workspace” -> “Resident Group” -> “Group Welcome Message” on mobile or PC (currently not available on Mac).

2.Admins can also set it in “Admin Console” -> “Residents and Partners” -> “Contact Residents” -> “Add Resident” -> “Group Welcome Message”.

3.When adding a welcome message, you can select “Insert Resident Alias”, and the welcome message will include the name of the person joining the group.

4.Limits of welcome messages

• ① The maximum number of group welcome messages created by all super administrators of a company is 1,000;
  ② The maximum number of group welcome messages created by all owners for a management rule is 1,000;
  ③ The maximum number of group welcome messages created by a member is 1,000.

• The group welcome message configured on the mobile app does not support GIF animations. When configured in the Admin Console, Mac/Windows clients support dynamic graphics, while the mobile app supports static graphics.

• Starting from version 4.1.36, each group welcome message can be configured for up to 2,000 the most recently active group chats from the dimension of group owner. Exceeding this limit will prevent further configuration.

• Each group welcome message has a text limit of 3,000 characters, excluding the inserted “Resident Alias”.

• Only one group welcome message can be configured for a single resident group.

II. Members add welcome message assets

Members can also manage their welcome messages for new members and apply them to resident groups in batch.

1.Path: “Workspace” -> “Resident Group” -> “Group Welcome Message”

2.All members can create their own welcome messages in “My Welcome Messages for New Members”, but can only use these welcome messages by themselves.

3.Members can view both their own welcome messages and welcome messages created by admins/persons in charge in “My Group Welcome Messages”.

4.Members can apply a welcome message to at most 100 resident groups in the “Select resident group” page.
