I. Overview

● Members within the usage scope of “Contact Students” and “Student Group” can use Broadcast Messages to broadcast messages to student groups in batches.

● Super admins and business owners can create broadcast messages and notify members to send the messages to student groups. A member can broadcast messages to a maximum of 200 most recently active student groups owned by themselves each time. Most recently active student groups refer to student groups that was recently created or whose members have sent messages recently.

● The company admin and members share the quota for broadcast messages. Each student/student group can receive 1 broadcast messages a day.

II. Path

Admins can create company broadcast messages from the admin console or the WeCom app.
“Students and Partners” -> “Contact Students” -> “Broadcast Tools” -> “Broadcast message to student groups” in the admin console.

“Workplace” -> “Group Msg Send Assistant” -> “Start Broadcasting” in the WeCom app.

III. Content limits and formats

1. The text is limited to 8,000 characters.
2. Text + images/videos/web pages/Mini Programs/file messages are supported. Multiple types can be selected simultaneously, with a maximum of 9 combined. There are currently no specific format requirements.
3. Broadcast images will not be automatically cropped or compressed based on size or dimensions.
4. Image size limit: 10000*20000. If the limit is exceeded, upload failure or continuous uploading may occur.
5. Currently, the Mac version only supports adding one attachment. This will be optimized in future updates.
6. For the client, videos up to 100 MB are supported, and there is no specific size limit for images on mobile devices. For the admin console, videos/images/files up to 200 MB are supported. Files can only be uploaded from local devices in the admin console, and can be uploaded from local devices/WeDrive on mobile devices. The limit for local uploads is 200 MB, while there is no limit for WeDrive uploads.
