● Path: “Workspace” -> “Group Msg Send Assistant”
● Members can send messages such as notifications, greetings, and activities to different students in batch, and offer subsequent services.
● Super admins or business owners can also create company service messages, and members will receive a service notification and confirm the message before offering services.
● The group message sending quota is calculated based on the dimension of students/student groups. Personal group message sending and company group message sending share the same group sending frequency, supporting unified creation and sending by companies, and members can also create and send on their own.
Company admins can go to “Workspace” -> “Broadcast Messages” -> the three dots in the upper-right corner -> “Set Broadcasting Rules” on mobile and configure it to be “1 per day”, “7 per week”, or “The number of days in the month per month”.
After configuration, the company can send 1 message per day/7 messages per week/a number of messages that equals to days in the month to each resident/student or resident/student group, according to the configured rules.
For example:
(1) If “1 per day” is set, the company can send 1 message per day to each resident/student or resident/student group.
(2) If “7 messages per week” is set on Monday, each resident/student or resident/student group can receive 7 messages that week, with the count reset at 0:00 on the next Monday.
(3) If “The number of days in the month per month” is set on May 1, each resident/student or resident/student group can receive 31 messages that month.
1. Admins can view all broadcast messages by tapping “Workspace” -> “Group Msg Send Assistant” -> “…” in the upper-right corner -> “All broadcast messages” and filter notification records of certain students or student groups.
(Members can only view their own broadcast messages by tapping “Workspace” -> “Group Msg Send Assistant” -> “…” in the upper-right corner ->”Broadcast Message Records”.)

3. Members can view their own broadcast messages by clicking “Workspace” -> “Group Msg Send Assistant” -> “All broadcast messages” from WeCom for PC. Admins can only view their own broadcast messages from WeCom for PC.
Starting from version 4.0.8, admins can stop broadcast messages. Once stopped, members who have not sent the message yet will be unable to send it.
If the company message has already been sent by all members, there will be no option to stop the sending process.

5. Currently, the Mac version only supports adding one attachment. This will be optimized in future updates.
6. For the client, videos up to 100 MB are supported, and there is no specific size limit for images on mobile devices. For the admin console, videos/images/files up to 200 MB are supported. The limit for local uploads is 200 MB, while there is no limit for WeDrive uploads.
During the pandemic, the WeCom Team temporarily increased the broadcasting limit to better assist companies in responding to the special circumstances.
However, this special support is no longer needed. The standard rules have been restored - each student or student group can receive 1 group message per day.
Meanwhile, company admins can go to “Workspace” -> “Broadcast Messages” -> the three dots in the upper-right corner -> “Set Broadcasting Rules” on mobile and configure it to be “1 per day”, “7 per week”, or “The number of days in the month per month”.
After broadcast messages are created, employees can go to their mobile app -> “Chats” -> “Broadcast Messages” and tap “Send all messages to be sent today” to batch confirm the pending broadcast messages.
1. Why can’t I see the chats with broadcast messages in the message list?
Starting from v4.1.26, the chats not in the message list but with broadcast messages sent will not be displayed, so the message list will not be cluttered with numerous broadcasting chats.
Starting from v5.0.2, if there are colleagues from the same enterprise in a group, after sending a message to customer groups, colleagues within the group will not receive message notifications, and the conversation will not float to the latest position of feed. You can enter the corresponding group chat and view the messages sent by the Group Message Send Assistant based on the prompt: “XX sent n messages via Group Message Send Assistant. Expand to view”.
2. My phone is lagging when broadcast messages are sent.
You can update WeCom to the latest version and try again. The update methods are as follows:
(1) Go to the official website.
(2) Go to the app store on your mobile device, or tap the “≡” icon in the upper-left corner of the “Chats” page -> the “Settings” icon in the lower-right corner -> “About WeCom” to check updates or tap the latest update log.
(3) On the desktop, click the profile photo in the upper-left corner the “Settings” icon in the lower-right corner -> “About “ -> “Check for Updates”.
