Fixed Work Time and By Shifts can be set up with punch time.
Work duration can be set in the rules for Flexible Work Time. If a member’s work duration exceeds the limit set in the rules, it will be counted as overtime. Setting “working hours” to “Unlimited” will affect the calculation of overtime.
Flexible Work Time can be set up with punch interval. You can set up a minimum interval of “XX” minutes between punching in and out.
From the admin console, click “App Management” -> “Attendance (Punch)” -> “Punch in/out” ->”Set Rules” -> “+ Add Rules” or “Edit” -> “Time”.
From an admin’s mobile, tap “Workspace” -> “Attendance (Punch)” -> “Manage” -> a specific rule -> “Time”.
1. When setting Attendance policy, multiple rest periods (including lunch breaks) can be configured within working hours. Starting from v4.1.38, a maximum of five rest periods may be defined per working day.
2. Only Fixed Work Time and By Shifts can be set up with rest duration.
3. Work time in punch records is not included in rest duration.
4. Durations for “Leave”, “Business Trip” and “Offsite” are calculated automatically based on the work days selected in Punch Time (“Duration calculation” under Leave management should be set to “Work Day”.) and rest duration can be excluded.
5. For regular attendance, rest duration is automatically excluded in daily punch reports. In case of absence, rest duration is not excluded from absence duration.
Settings path:
[Mobile -> Workspace -> Attendance -> Management -> Edit Existing Attendance Policy/Add Policy -> On/off-duty Time -> Edit Attendance Time -> Rest Periods], to set rest periods.
Or, [Admin Console -> App Management -> Attendance -> Clock-in/out -> Set Policy -> Edit/Add Policy -> Attendance Time -> Working hours -> Rest duration -> Add], to set rest periods.
Support flextime settings, with options for “Not allowed”, “Allow late arrival and early departure”, and “Allow early arrival and early departure, late arrival and late departure”. “Not allowed” is selected by default. Only one option can be selected out of three; multiple selections are not permitted.
● When multiple punch time ranges are set up, the earliest punch-in time and the latest punch-out time are effective punch-in and punch-out times. The earliest punch-in time may affect the latest punch-out time. Late on-work/off-work is not supported for middle punch time ranges.
● For late punch-in or early punch-out, early on-work/off-work and late on-work/off-work are not affected by calibration.
That is, early on-work/off-work and late on-work/off-work are required regardless of calibration.
● In case of missed punch due to location exception or device exception, early on-work/off-work and late on-work/off-work will not take effect.
● The clock-in/out time for leaving and returning to work is not affected by early arrival and early out, or late arrival and late out, but it will affect the calculation of early arrival and early out, and late arrival and late out.
The off-duty clocking-out is calculated based on the requested leave duration. Early arrivals and early outs are not effective. Off-duty clocking-out must be conducted according to the requested leave duration. The attendance record page will calculate the off-duty clocking-out time based on early arrivals and early outs, but the actual attendance page will display according to the requested leave duration.
For example: If 9:00 AM to 18:00 PM is set for the attendance time in members’ attendance policy, allowing 1-hour early arrival and early out, and a member takes leave from 12:00 PM to 18:00 PM, and clocked in at 8:00 AM that day, the attendance record page will show the leave time as 11:00 AM. However, the attendance page will indicate “Please clock out after 12:00 PM”, and clock out at 11:00 AM will be recorded as an early out.
If the request form is approved before clocking in, late arrivals and late outs are calculated based on the return-to-duty clock-in time. If clocking in occurs before the request form is approved, then late arrivals and late outs are calculated based on the original first clock-in time.
1. Minutes allowed for late on-work can be set when “Late on-work the next day after late off-work” is enabled.(“Late Arrival Next Day” will only take effect if a member meets the late departure time set in the punch rules)
2. Late on-work time only take effect on the second working day.
3. The late on-work time must be later than the time allowed for late punch-in and earlier than the late punch-out time.
4. If the last clock-out of the day is abnormal (e.g., early out, no record, abnormal location, or abnormal device), “leaving late after work, arriving late the next day” will not take effect. You need to clock out normally for it to be valid.
5. The “Late Departure, Late Arrival Next Day” setting does not apply to the special dates and statutory make-up days set in the punch rules.
6. If the punch-out time is after 4 AM, the “Late Departure, Late Arrival Next Day” setting will not take effect.
7. When “Offsite Working Attendance Records Synchronization” enabled, the offsite working attendance records synced clock-ins/outs, the clock-out will support the “leaving late after work, arriving late the next day”, while the clock-in does not support it.
When a punch time range is set, a prompt of “Punch is not allowed for current time” will appear when an employee wants to punch in/out beyond the specified punch time range.
For offsite punches, time range cannot be set. Punches after 4 a.m. are counted as the next day’s record, and punches before 4 a.m. are counted as the previous day’s record.
For flexible punches, the start time of a new day’s punch can be set in “Punch Start Time”. This allows for punch records to span across two days. For example, in the rules for flexible work time, if the “Punch Start Time” is set to 8:00 a.m. each day, then for members subject to this rule:
When you set up punch-in/punch-out rules for “Fixed Work Time” and “By Shifts”, you can set whether punch-in/punch-out is required as needed in the “Punch time range” section.
Members who do not need to punch will not be prompted for punch-in/punch-out and their punch-free time will not be recorded.
It allows setting “Time Zone” in the attendance policy. Members will conduct attendance and have their attendance calculated based on the set time zone. Once saved, the time zone cannot be modified. Supports selecting overseas time zones, allowing members to use attendance functionality in overseas regions.
1. When creating a new rule, the system-configured time zone is displayed by default. You can manually modify the time zone during the rule creation process, but once saved, the time zone becomes uneditable (i.e., only one manual modification is allowed).
All time zone fields in the historical rule are set to [China Standard Time - Beijing] and in visible. This field is only visible when creating new rules.
2. If the time zone set in the attendance policy differs from [China Standard Time - Beijing], the following scenarios may occur:
(1) When checking for face recognition attendance, away/return status tracking, auto-shift matching, and allowing overtime during holidays, a prompt will display: “The current time zone does not support it at this time”.
(2) Holiday synchronization cannot be checked, and it is not supported to set holidays outside China’s Mainland.
(3) If there is a associated attendance machine, there will be no “Attendance Method” selection entry, making the attendance machine unavailable for punching in/out.
(4) When setting the punching in/out location, overseas regions can be recognized.
3. After members punch in/out, the attendance homepage, the attendance details page and the Admin Console’s attendance records will display the attendance time base on the configured time zone.
4. The system currently supports Daylight Saving Time (DST) and Winter Time. After setting the time zone, the transitions between DST and Winter Time will automatically take effect.
5. Path of setting:
Mobile App -> Workspace -> Attendance -> Management -> Select rules to enter/create a new rule ->More Settings -> Time Zone
Admin Console-> App Management -> Attendance -> Clock-in/out -> Set Rules -> Edit Rule/Create a New Rule -> Time Zone
Starting from v4.1.38, half-day working hours can be configured in attendance policy, enabling precise attendance time-tracking when employees take half day off.
Administrators/Attendance app owners can set AM/PM working hours by going to [Mobile -> Workspace -> Attendance -> Management -> clicking on /Add Policy -> On/Off-duty Time -> Edit Attendance Time -> Half-day Working Hours at the bottom of the page];
Administrators can also configure AM/PM working hours by going to [Admin Console -> App Management -> Attendance -> Clock-in/out -> Set Policy -> Edit/Add Policy -> Edit Attendance Time -> Half-day Working Hours].
If the enterprise follows big/small week or work one day and rest one day, they can choose Bi-weekly Recurring.
[Admin Console -> App Management -> Attendance -> Clock-in/out -> Set Rules -> In the corresponding rule -> Clock-in Times -> Bi-weekly Recurring]
[Mobile -> Workspace -> Attendance -> Manage -> In the corresponding rule -> Clock-in/out Times -> Bi-weekly Recurring]
When multiple punch time ranges are set, the new punch-in time cannot be earlier than the previous punch-out time.
For Fixed Work Time, the earliest possible punch-in time can be set as 0:00.
For By Shifts, the earliest possible punch-in time can only be set up to 4 hours before the shift start time.
If “Punch in/out for departure and return to work” is set, the punch records for the day will be recalculated after the approval. If “Late Departure, Late Arrival Next Day” is not set for the member at the time of recalculation, the punch for late departure and late arrival next day will not be calculated, causing the normal punch to appear abnormal after approval.
(1) If there is a location exception, missed punch, or device abnormality, the “Early Arrival, Early Departure; Late Arrival, Late Departure” setting will not take effect. If a member fails to punch, the “Early Arrival, Early Departure; Late Arrival, Late Departure” will not take effect even if they submit a request for correction of the missed punch or the admin adjusts the punch record.
(2) For members with “By Shifts” and self-scheduling set, if the member selects a shift for the first time on a day and changes the shift after punch-in, it will cause the member’s punch record for the day to be recalculated and the “Early Arrival, Early Departure; Late Arrival, Late Departure” not to take effect.
(3) If a member submits a leave approval form that causes the punch record to be recalculated, the “Early Arrival, Early Departure; Late Arrival, Late Departure” will not take effect.
(4) “Flexible Work Time” will apply to punch on rest days and special dates set in punch rules.
