I. Download and log in to WeCom on PC

Go to WeCom and click “Download” to download WeCom for Windows or WeCom for Mac.
Then, open WeCom. You need to scan the QR code with the WeCom app on your phone to log in to WeCom on PC.

System version requirements:
Windows: Windows 7 or above.
Mac: macOS X 10.12 or above.
WeCom is not supported on Unix, Kylin, Linux, and XP operating systems.

II. Access WeCom from the company intranet

Because WeCom is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) product, when a company’s internal office computers cannot directly access the public network, WeCom can only be used through a proxy. The company can deploy a proxy, grant the proxy machine the permissions to access all server IPs and ports of WeCom (see the latest IP and port list), and then configure proxy access on the internal office computers.

2. Set a proxy on Mac

Open WeCom, and on the login page, click “Network Settings” in the top menu bar to set a proxy. After your account is logged in, this option will be grayed out.

3. The relationship between the proxy set for WeCom and the proxy for IE browser

The built-in browser or mini program on WeCom uses IE browser proxy instead of the proxy set on WeCom;
Beside built-in browser or mini program, WeCom should prioritize using its own set proxy, in the absence of such settings, it utilizes the proxy of the IE browser;
When a proxy is required, it is recommended to only set up the IE browser proxy, rather than setting one for WeCom.

X. FAQs

1.Network connection error when scanning the QR code on PC

Please install “360 System Emergency Kit” on your computer to detect and fix the issue.

If no issue was identified or if the issue persists after it is fixed, it might be caused by a system infection with malicious programs that modify network certificates. If “360 System Emergency Kit” is unable to address the issue, it could be a system problem that cannot be resolved. In this case, your network administrator needs to investigate or reinstall the computer system.

2.Why did the left navigation bar of WeCom on the computer, which was originally blue, become lighter after updating to v4.1.38

Thank you for your attention to the tone optimization of the navigation bar in the new version! This optimization aims to deliver a cleaner and more unified visual experience for you, while maintaining consistency in brand styles across all ends. We understand that visual adjustments may require an adaptation period, so we recommend experiencing the new design for a longer time.

Our product/design team members have already adapted to mainstream device models to ensure that the contrast of the navigation bar delivers the optimal display effect on most devices. If it’s convenient for you, please feel free to contact our customer service representative to provide the brand and model of your device. We’ll collect these information and take a look together~
