1. Log in to the WeCom app, tap the button on the top left of the message page, and then tap the settings icon in the lower right corner. On the “WeChat” tab, you can change the WeChat account already bound.
Currently, unbinding a WeChat account is not supported.
2. WeChat binding frequency limits:
(1) For newly registered WeCom accounts, the bound WeChat account cannot be changed within the first 7 days after the initial binding.
(2) A WeChat account can be bound to another WeChat account once every 30 days.
(3) A WeChat account can only be bound to another WeCom account once every 30 days.
Note: The 7-day period is included within the 30-day limit. After the 7 days, rebinding the WeChat still needs to meet the 30-day limit for the same WeCom account and the same WeChat account.
1. The new WeChat account to be bound must be verified with a real name, which should be the same as that for the current WeCom account.
2. The existing WeChat account being bound and the new one to be bound must be both in normal state.
3. The new WeChat account to be bound must not be linked with any WeCom account.
1. After a new WeChat account is bound, the old WeChat account is unauthorized to log in to WeCom.
2. If there are any red packets not received, they cannot be received anymore after the WeChat account is changed. You are advised to receive the red packets before changing the WeChat account.
3. WeChat plug-ins currently followed will be unfollowed and all historical messages will be cleared. After a new WeChat account is bound, the plug-ins will be followed again.
If the WeCom account associated to the newly re-associated WeChat account belongs to an enterprise, the associating process will prompt: “This WeChat account has already been associated to another enterprise identity. Please switch to a different WeChat account or log out of all identities associated with this WeChat account before attempting to associate again.” When this prompt appears, you can refer to the following two procedures:
(1) Log in to the corresponding WeCom Account B using the newly re-associated WeChat account, and associate the mobile number to be used to join the enterprise.
Tip: If the mobile number is already associated to WeCom Account A, and has not associated a WeChat ID, after changing the association, the Account A will unable to log in again. Please proceed with caution.
(2) Log in to the corresponding WeCom account using the newly re-associated WeChat account, exit all existing enterprises (no need to wait 30 days), and then you can proceed with the associating.
① When logging into WeCom with the newly re-associated WeChat ID, on the login interface/Managed Enterprises List - Pending to Join Enterprises/Teams, there are enterprises with pending review requests or rejected requests. During the request process, you can click to “Cancel Request”; for rejected requests, you can click “Acknowledge” to confirm.
② When logging into WeCom with the newly re-associated WeChat account, the page prompts: “Ask a colleague nearby to scan the QR code to verify your identity, and then you can join the enterprise.”
If the newly re-associated WeChat account is already associated to another enterprise identity, the re-associating will fail. The newly associated WeChat account must not be associated with any other enterprise identities to proceed with the re-associating. It is recommended to log in normally first, leave the enterprise, and then perform the associating operation.
Tip: After voluntarily leaving an enterprise, if within 30 days the administrator either fails to send an invitation to rejoin via the Contacts or has already sent one, and the member does not log back into the corresponding enterprise, the account will be automatically deleted by the system after 30 days. Accounts deleted by the system cannot be recovered.
(3) If you have multiple WeChat IDs, you can first use a third WeChat ID to perform the re-associating. This will free up the currently associated WeChat ID, after which you can then use that original ID to re-associate again.
For example: To associate WeChat ID B to Account 1.
Account 1: Mobile number 1, WeChat ID A, Company A
Account 2: Mobile number 2, WeChat ID B, Company B
If you have WeChat ID C, re-associate WeChat ID C first on “Account 2”. This will free up WeChat ID B. Then, you can re-associate the now-available WeChat ID B to “Account 1”.
